We report the discovery of Qatar-3b , Qatar-4b , and Qatar-5b , three new transiting planets identified by the Qatar Exoplanet Survey ( QES ) . The three planets belong to the hot Jupiter family , with orbital periods of P _ { Q 3 b } = 2.50792 days , P _ { Q 4 b } = 1.80536 days , and P _ { Q 5 b } = 2.87923 days . Follow-up spectroscopic observations reveal the masses of the planets to be M _ { Q 3 b } = 4.31 \pm 0.47 M _ { J } , M _ { Q 4 b } = 5.36 \pm 0.20 M _ { J } , and M _ { Q 5 b } = 4.32 \pm 0.18 M _ { J } , while model fits to the transit light curves yield radii of R _ { Q 3 b } = 1.096 \pm 0.14 R _ { J } , R _ { Q 4 b } = 1.135 \pm 0.11 R _ { J } , and R _ { Q 5 b } = 1.107 \pm 0.064 R _ { J } . The host stars are low-mass main sequence stars with masses and radii M _ { Q 3 } = 1.145 \pm 0.064 M _ { \odot } , M _ { Q 4 } = 0.896 \pm 0.048 M _ { \odot } , M _ { Q 5 } = 1.128 \pm 0.056 M _ { \odot } and R _ { Q 3 } = 1.272 \pm 0.14 R _ { \odot } , R _ { Q 4 } = 0.849 \pm 0.063 R _ { \odot } and R _ { Q 5 } = 1.076 \pm 0.051 R _ { \odot } for Qatar-3 , 4 and 5 respectively . The V magnitudes of the three host stars are V _ { Q 3 } =12.88 , V _ { Q 4 } =13.60 , and V _ { Q 5 } =12.82 . All three new planets can be classified as heavy hot Jupiters ( M > 4 M _ { J } ) .
