We discuss the possibilities of the BaSeL models in its lowest temperature boundary ( T _ { eff } \sim 2500 K for cool giants ) to provide the T _ { eff } of AGB stars .
We present the first step of our work , by comparing our predictions for the AGB star R Fornacis with the results of Lorenz-Martins & Lefèvre ( 1994 ) based on the dust spectral energy distribution .
